Travelling to Montpellier

Located in the south of France at the brd of the Mediterranean Sea and south of the Cevennes Mountains, a university and research town that has doubled its population in four decades, Montpellier shows an incredible power of attraction! In addition to a charming historic centre, the largest pedestrian zone in France, Montpellier is a young and dynamic city, which hosts many cultural and sporting events throughout the year.

The city is easily accessible. There are excellent air links to France from all parts of the world, and several international airlines offer scheduled flights to Paris and Montpellier.


From Paris - Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle airport:

  • Take the RER train to Paris-Gare de Lyon, then take a train to Montpellier Saint-Roch railway station with the SNCF
  • Long-distance bus connections;


From Montpellier airport:

  • For daily connections during the week: see Air France and Montpellier Méditérrannée airport.
  • From Montpellier-Méditérranée airport to the city of Montpellier: connections and buses (bus line 120). The schedules are available here. The itinerary arrives at the place of Europe. Take the tramway line 1 (direction Mosson) to reach Saint-Roch railway station.
